Meet the Composer
Charlie Clarke is a New Jersey jazz musician who has toured in North America, Germany, and Amsterdam. He plays regularly throughout the New York Metropolitan area. He has performed at hundreds of corporate events, weddings, and political fundraisers, including The Breeders Cup, The Governors Ball, and The Rainbow Room. You can hear his sublime expressive style regularly with Sherri Pie and the Clarke Brothers Organ Trio, along with his brother Doug, a noted jazz guitarist.
Charlie received his BA at Rutgers and continued his studies at the renowned Berklee College of Music. He then completed a master’s program at Montclair in music composition. His early teachers include Kenny Barron (Downbeat’s Jazz Pianist of the Decade 90’s), Frank Foster from the Count Basie Band, Nicholas Rousakis (Founder of the American Composers Orchestra), and Noel DaCosta.
Charlie is a versatile composer creating music that spans country, indie, folk, jazz, Latin, classical, new age, sacred, and solo piano compositions. With a deep passion for storytelling, Charlie’s music evokes a full range of emotion. His compositional approach blends styles and genres from all ages and cultures to create a unique blend of contemporary works.

Musical Philosophy
“Music is the universal language that connects us all. Through composition, I strive to create works that resonate with the human experience—capturing moments of joy, reflection, and wonder.”
