Today I started mixing a big band chart scored for 5 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxes, piano, bass drums and percussion. The song King of Calypso was written in 2006 with revisions in 2017. The music was scored by Bob Dalton for big band and originally recorded by the Power House Big Band in 2018. I created 2 versions of this song, the first keeping consistent with Bob’s instrumental treatment of the song. The second version will be vocal version with original lyrics by Sherri Ehrlich and myself.
